Foundation is finished

Lisa Call > On thursday they took down the forms for the foundation walls that were poured on wednesday.
Lisa Call > Things are starting to take shape cause the walls are in!
Lisa Call > Except for one wall in the basement next to the garage. It needs all the supports to hold it up so it had to wait for the form for the wall against the house to be poured before the forms could be put up. The got the form up end of day thursday and poured that wall. No fancy pumper truck - they used wheelbarrows and I was at work and missed the whole thing.. Bummer.
Lisa Call > Friday morning they came and took down all the forms and gathered up their tools and went on their way.
Lisa Call > So now all the walls are up for the basement and the cement is curing. On monday they will waterproof it.
Lisa Call > I'm extending the garage back a few feet and also forward to the front of the house. The result will be a 2 car tandem garage. Not that I have 2 cars but I have stuff that needs to be stored in the garage like a lawn mower and it sounds good for retail to have a 2 car tandem garage.
Lisa Call > Over on the right will be the master bedroom - in a garden level basement. Pretty shallow basement but should be enought to keep it cool in the summer. The bathroom for the master bedroom will be up against the house.
Lisa Call > To the left and back will be the study. It's going to be pretty small, more like and alcove, but perfect for keep the business stuff away from the studio and the bedroom. On top of the bedroom and study will be my studio. The area to the right and back is a full basement that will be storage. On top will be a the laundry room.
Lisa Call > Me - to give it some perspective.
