Lisa Call > Here in the background you can see Jim the builder pretending he's a gymnast walking on a balance beam. He's measuring stuff and doing who knows what in preparation of putting the laundry room floor in. He spent hours doing this and the house never really looked any different to me.

Before the foundation walls can be backfilled the floor has to be put in place to help stabilize them. Wouldn't want them to fall over. Jim's getting things ready for that to happen.
Lisa Call > Sewer line is moved from the old to the new sewer. All ready fill in the trench tomorrow. Which sadly I will miss cause I'm headed out of town for a few days. Bummer!
Lisa Call > Sewer pipe packed in rocks down where it attaches to the main line.
Lisa Call > Cleanout pipes. Very decorative.
Lisa Call > They got the workbench built and apparently the entire purpose of it was to have a table to eat lunch. I think they'll build some chairs tomorrow.
Lisa Call > Okay - I lied - they did use the workbench for a workbench also. I hope they measured and made it the correct ergonomic height for everyone.

In real life Eric is not usually this blurry. Camera operator failure here.
Lisa Call > Ta da - I came home from work to find that they really did do some framing today. This will be the laundry room floor. Jim's trying to measure the length of the board. Eric is supervising as is the way I believe it is required to work - 15 guys - 1 tape measure.
Lisa Call > So the measuring thing didn't work out so well so Jim had to do the balance beam thing and walk around and hook the end of the tape measure on the end of the board then walk back to get a measurement. It was a good show - I always liked gymnastics. Eric was very encouraging.
Lisa Call > With all the excitement outside of the house tomorrow with the digger Jim and crew need something to do. So they decided to rip out a couple of my walls.

This photo was taken from the current location of the front door in the living room. The wall between the living room and kitchen will come down. As will the wall to the left. This is currently the wall to my son's bedroom. It'll be history as of tomorrow. He'll get black plastic sheet walls for the next 3 months.
