Closing up the house.

Lisa Call > Another ladder. They are getting everything closed up. You can spot the new plywood that went up - it's a different color.
Lisa Call > They are working down at the far end of the house - closing up that attic on that side. or at least there are a pile of tools over there - could just be props as they weren't around at lunch.
Lisa Call > The new sheathing from the inside.
Lisa Call > Before they left last wednesday they put of this railing around the stairwell - cause it's a long way down.
Lisa Call > Big barn looking thing.
Lisa Call > So - in proper construction tradition I asked for Jim to top out the project - he's taking the "evergreen" tree up to the highest point of the construction (it's supposed to stay there but it's also supposed to snow again and that is my christmas tree - can't have it ruined).
Lisa Call > So this is it - tada. Jim didn't know this was supposed to bring good luck to the project (he needs to read more wikipedia pages). But it is. He said it meant he was supposed to get a beer - I gave them cookies instead. Hm - maybe I need to read more wikipedia pages.
Lisa Call > Okay - so it's not a real evergreen tree. Actually it's not even green. It's a bright purple shiny fake thing I found at goodwill. My daughter is trilled and is keeping it in her bedroom after christmas is over.
Lisa Call > End of the day and they've built the landing for the stairs. The entrance from the house into the addition won't be into the laundry room where the screen door is, instead it is going to be by the landing that they just build. Currently my kitchen sink is in the way of accessing this area.
